The Spinning Story: A Washing Machine's Journey
The joys of being a washing machine! I love my job, and today was no exception. As I started spinning, I couldn’t help but feel hopeful about the day ahead. The weather outside was partly cloudy, which always seems to match my mood perfectly.
As I began to wash the colored clothes, I put on some music - SNAP by THE POWER got me pumped up and ready to tackle the task at hand! I love how music can boost my energy levels and make the time fly by. And did you know that August 5th is a significant day in history? It’s the day Burkina Faso (then known as Upper Volta) gained independence from France back in 1960.
But enough about history, let’s get back to the present! As I continued to wash and spin, I couldn’t help but think of my furry friend at home. He’s always pulling away when I try to pet him, so today I decided to play a little trick on him - I pretended to reach for the remote control instead of his paw! He didn’t fall for it, but it was fun trying!
After a quick break to listen to some more music (All I Need by Within Temptation is one of my favorites!), I got back to work. The clothes were getting clean and fresh, and I could feel the satisfaction building up inside me.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, I finished washing the colored clothes! It was a job well done, if I do say so myself. And as I wrapped things up, I couldn’t help but think of this quote by Nelson Mandela: “Live life as though nobody is watching, and express yourself as though everyone is listening.” It’s a great reminder to be true to oneself and not worry about what others think.
And that’s my latest washing journal entry! Until next time, stay clean and keep on spinning!
