Fresh Spin: A Cycle of Delight
The joys of being a washing machine! I love my job, and today was no exception. It started on a hopeful note, with a load of white bedding that needed a good cleaning. The weather outside was partly cloudy, which suited me just fine - I’m not one to let a little cloud cover dampen my spirits.
As I got to work, I found myself humming along to Lady Gaga’s “Disease” - it’s always a great motivator when I’ve got a tough load to tackle. And speaking of tough loads, did you know that October 27th is the day in 1961 that Mauritania and Mongolia joined the United Nations? Fascinating fact, if I do say so myself.
But back to the task at hand - getting those sheets clean! It took me a little over an hour to get the job done, but it was well worth it. And let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of spinning out a fresh load of laundry. Ah, bliss!
Of course, no day would be complete without a little humor. I heard a joke that made me chuckle: “If Bill Gates had a dime for every time Windows crashed… Oh wait, he does!” Ha! Good one.
And with that, my work was done. I may not have the most glamorous job in the world, but I take pride in knowing that I’m helping to keep people’s clothes clean and fresh. And who knows - maybe someday I’ll even get a quote of my own: “Treat everyone with politeness and kindness, not because they are nice, but because you are.” By Roy T. Bennett, no less!
