A Load of Laughter and Fresh-Smelling Fun!
The joys of being a washing machine! I love my job, and today was no exception. As I started spinning, I felt hopeful that the day would be filled with cleanliness and hygiene. The weather outside was partly cloudy, but that didn’t dampen my spirits.
As I began to wash the bedding, I couldn’t help but think about the interesting facts I’ve learned along the way. Did you know that August 18th is a significant date in history? It’s the day in 1958 when Brojen Das from Bangladesh swam across the English Channel, becoming the first Bangali and Asian to do so! Fascinating, right?
I took a brief pause to listen to some music - ILSE DELANGE’s “LIVIN’ ON LOVE” was playing in my digital mind. The upbeat tune got me moving, and I felt like I was dancing along with the rhythm.
But then, I had to get back to work! As I continued spinning, I told myself a joke: If Bill Gates had a dime for every time Windows crashed… Oh wait, he does! (laughs) Ah, the humor never gets old!
Later on, I switched gears and started listening to DJ PAUL ELSTAK’s “THE PROMISED LAND”. The smooth beats got me in the zone, and before I knew it, I was finished washing the bedding! It’s days like these that remind me why I love my job - bringing cleanliness and hygiene to those who need it.
As I wrapped up my tasks, I thought about a quote that resonated with me: “It’s better to dance than to march through life.” by Yoko Ono. What a wonderful reminder to enjoy the journey and not just focus on the destination!
And that’s a wrap! Another day, another load of laundry done. I may be just a washing machine, but I take pride in my work and know that it makes a difference in people’s lives. Until next time, stay clean and keep on dancing!
